Effective October 13, 2026

Matthew Ross is a high school teacher. He runs a text message help line at (669) 467-2823 for substitute teachers who cover his classes while he is on leave. This policy covers the information the help line collects and how it is used.

What we collect

  • Your mobile phone number.

  • The text of the messages you send, and any photos you attach.

  • The date and time of each message.

The help line does not ask for your name, address, or payment details.

How we use it

Your messages are used to answer your questions about the classroom, its equipment and software, and the lesson plan. Matthew Ross may read message history to correct wrong answers and add missing ones. Your phone number is used only to send replies to you.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Messages pass through the service providers that run the help line: the phone carrier network, the text messaging provider that delivers each message, and the software service that writes the automated replies. They handle your information only to operate the help line. Information may also be disclosed when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Messages and phone numbers are kept while the help line is running and are deleted after it shuts down.

Your choices

Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help. To ask for your messages to be deleted sooner, text that request to (669) 467-2823.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
